Atvos will distribute, free of any charges, 160 thousand liters of isopropyl alcohol 70% to institutions located in the states of São Paulo, Goiás, Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul as a way to contribute to contain the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). The product will be distributed to State Health Departments, Municipal Governments and Municipal Health Authorities, class associations, labor unions or non-governmental organizations. Each state will receive 40 thousand liters of isopropyl alcohol 70% produced by Atvos’ 8 agro-industrial units specifically for this end.

The production of isopropyl alcohol 70% for hygiene and cleaning uses was authorized by the National Sanitary Vigilance Agency (Anvisa), last Thursday (March 19). The alcohol will be shipped from the refineries for transformation into gel or packaging of the liquid solution (under the responsibility of the government agency) and subsequent delivery to the end user. The companies responsible for the transportation and distribution of hazardous products have made their structures available in order to guarantee the deliveries.

Of the 40 thousand liters made available to each state, 10 thousand liters will be directed to the regions in which the Atvos agro-industrial units are located.
