    Dear members,

Unfortunately, Dr. Mayanse Mitri Boulos, 78, medical coordinator of all Odebrecht Group companies, died on Sunday afternoon of a heart attack. He was at home in São Paulo when he didn’t feel well and fainted. He was taken to the hospital, but, unfortunately, he hasn’t recovered.

Dr. Mayanse has a very beautiful history with Odebrecht during his 40 years of service. He will be forever our doctor and friend. He was interested in everyone’s health. He followed every case that came his way. Although he was a trained surgeon, he was a very special general practitioner, always seeking broader information about the living conditions and the health of each of his patients. His contacts with other doctors and main hospitals in São Paulo was a great asset for all of us. Dr. Mayanse helped refer members according to the treatment they needed.

Dr. Mayanse was born in Lebanon into a family of humble origin. For his life lessons, he was always very strict. He didn’t stop working any day during the pandemic. He worked out regularly for seven days a week, and maintained a regular diet. About five years ago, he had his first heart attack. He was at home, took a taxi, went to the hospital, and recovered. Whoever stayed with him these last few days found him healthy.

He leaves his wife, Sonia Martins Boulos, two children, two granddaughters, and a legion of members and former members eternally grateful for what Dr. Mayanse has done for us.

    May he rest in peace!
