    Odebrecht Oil & Gas, specialized in providing services for the oil and gas industry, is now called Ocyan. The company presented its new visual identity today, in addition to strengthening its position in the market.

     

    Ocyan is the mixture of ocean, field of activity of the company, and the name of the blue color cyan of the different layers of the sea. The choice was made for a name that evokes the company’s performance, contributing to consolidate its position in the oil and gas offshore market, and enhancing the experience gained throughout its history.

     

    New logo

     

    The symbol that accompanies the new name uses geometric shapes that reinforce attributes of the company’s personality: transparency, shown by the overlap of shapes; and technical capacity, represented by the precise fit between the semicircles.

     

    The blue tone denotes the universe the company operates in and the meaning of the name. The most vibrant tones mark the determination, which is part of the personality of the company (green, blue and the colors of the images).

     

     

    A new time

     

    The rebranding closes a cycle of renewal for the company, with the completion of its financial restructuring. The process, which took place through an Extrajudicial Recovery (Chapter 15), was finalized at the end of 2017, with the issuance of new debt securities guaranteed by drilling projects and new participatory bonds. With a renewed and healthy capital structure, suited to its operations and needs, Ocyan is prepared for a new cycle of growth.

     

    “Ocyan has security as its main value, as well as a commitment to society, its employees, customers, shareholders and partners,” said Roberto Simões, president of Ocyan. “We have completed the financial restructuring of the company. In addition, our assets operate with good performance, particularly the FPSO Pioneiro de Libra, which started operations at the end of 2017. We have also implemented and consolidated a robust compliance system, reinforcing our commitment to ethical and transparent business practices . We believe this is the ideal moment to present our new brand, a brand that reflects the perspective of stabilization and growth of our market,” said Roberto Simões.

     

    The creation of the new name, new brand and definition of the Brand Platform, which includes the consolidation of Ocyan’s positioning, is the result of a partnership between the company and Interbrand.
