  • Ocyan resumes face-to-face activities, which will occur in waves

    The beginning of this week was marked by the partial return of he onshore public to Ocyan´s on site activities. But before they access the company’s offices and base again, after six months, the members who volunteered for this first return wave underwent medical screening and rapid testing for Covid-19.

    To prevent the risk of contagion, at this first moment, the return was limited to only 30% of the workforce per area and/or environment. The company’s facilities have been adapted to follow the guidelines of the Contingency Plan created to address the current scenario. Signs, automation of doors, availability of alcohol based gel dispensers and layout of workstations respecting the minimum distance were some of the measures adopted aiming at everyone’s integrity.

    “We are going through a period of transition and therefore the return to office and base will take place gradually, without haste, safely, and in a structured manner. Ocyan has a key social role in the fight against the Coronavirus. We need to be a safety net that focuses on security – our highest value – and, Specially the health of our members and public with whom we relate, says Ocyan’s CEO, Roberto Bischoff.

    A renewed environment for a new working concept

    In addition to the novelties related to care that this new moment requires, those who returned to in-person work were impacted by the setting of the Macaé Base and The modernization of the company’s headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. Focusing on people’s well-being and in alignment with Ocyan’s proposal to provide a unique experience to its members in all their actions and deliveries, the company’s facilities have gone through an aesthetic, digital and even cultural renewal, considering the adoption of Flex Office as a good practice.

    The main purpose of the interventions, which made the environments more collaborative and pleasant, was to enable the application of the Flex Office concept. From now on, there is no longer a fixed workplace for members who do not have an individual room. “The flexibility of being able to change position in the office, according to the convenience of the member, increases the integration between people from different areas, but the greatest benefit of this new work regime is that we can better balance our personal and professional lives,” explains Nir Lander, RAE Personnel & Management.
