Year’s Top Company in People Management

The Business received the distinction during a ceremony held November 6 in São Paulo

For the second time, Odebrecht Agroindustrial was elected the Year’s Top Company in the Performance – People Management category for the 2017 MasterCana Award. Focused on the sugar energy sector, the annual award recognizes the merit of people and organizations that stood out in terms of making human, technological, and social and economic improvements in the sector.

“It is a great source of satisfaction to have once again received the MasterCana in the People Management category,” revealed Karina Fonseca, responsible for People & Organization at the Business. “This recognition makes us proud of the work we have done to support leaders when it comes to training and valuing our more than 11,000 members,” she said.

During the 2016/2017 harvest, the Business promoted over 570,000 of training. “The development of people is crucial for us to reach the established results and goals and for the continuous improvement of our operations,” added Fonseca.

It is important to point out that the distinction also reflects Agro’s work in the communities in which the company is present. Through training and qualification programs, the Business hires local labor first and is helping improve quality of life in the regions in which it operates.
