OR inaugurates the headquarters of the social project Casa Tupinambá

August 12^th, Casa Tupinambá, a social project supported by OR, inaugurated its headquarters in Vila Sauípe. The symbolic event, with reduced audience due to the pandemic, was held with the presence of the Mayor of Mata de São João, Mr. Marcelo Oliveira, from LN OR, Eduardo Pedreira, and DS Nordeste, Daniel Sampaio. With the presence of representatives of “Mãos Nativas” Association, which will have Casa Tupinambá as its headquarters, from Eco Parque Sauipe, members of OR who participated in the project and other partners.

Besides the traditional cut of the tape, symbolizing the inauguration, a video was shown in the new space mixing testimonials from people who participated in the project, images of the construction of Casa Tupinambá and a detailed record of the confection work by the artisans.

Casa Tupinambá is a project developed by OR to support “Mãos Nativas” Association, an association of artisans operating in Vila Sauípe. Besides the construction of the headquarters to house the artisans, the project also offered guidance on several aspects, from straw production to commercial training – with business management, finance, marketing, e-commerce notions and secretary services. In July, the pieces were made available in a marketplace that accepts orders from all over Brazil.
