Solidarity marks CBN’S donation campaign
Solidarity has marked the actions of many companies during the months in which the population has been facing social distancing measures due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. With this spirit of solidarity and recognition on the importance of helping, Concessionária Bahia Norte carried out the campaign Juntos Podemos Fazer Muito Mais, which donated more than 2.5 tons of food, and 2,000 cleaning items, which benefited about 500 families living in communities surrounding the BA-093 highway system.
“These donations are very important because we are going through a very difficult time. These food staples will certainly help the people who are most in need in our community, giving support to face this pandemic,” said Verena, one of the persons responsible for distributing the donations to Fazenda Madeira community, Candeias district.
For CBN’s communication and sustainability manager, Cledson Castro, “as we already have established a relationship of care with the surrounding communities, it was very important to be able to help them in some way at this time that demands the positioning of all sectors of society on how we will move forward”, he said.
In addition to donations of food and other materials to the communities surrounding the highways managed by the concessionaire, CBN has been developing since March, support and guidance actions on the roads to truck drivers. In the approaches, the professionals carry out the clarification on the prevention against Covid-19 and offer assistance with health professionals. These and other activities aim at raising awareness, and preventive measures to fight the pandemic continue to be adopted by CBN, also with attention to CBN’s own employees.
